As is the case with many circuits in North America and Europe, the history of the Arizona Motorsports Park is closely linked to that of a military airfield. The AMP facility is an immediate neighbor of Luke Air Force Base, situated eleven kilometers from Glendale, which in turn lies within the Phoenix metro region.

This road-racing course in the Arizona desert consists of a combination of long straights and flowing corners. The circuit lends itself to various layouts, and is available for use by serious hobbyists and professional drivers throughout the year.
