The Taupo Motorsport Park is generally accepted as being the best motorsport facility in Australasia. The circuit was built in 2006 on the site of an old circuit, but incorporates longer straights and modernized facilities, including two pit complexes. It conforms to the highest standards.

Beside twisty sectors, the circuit's layout features an extremely fast and long straight which can be converted for use as a drag strip. The grandstand lining the straight accommodates 10 000 spectators. The circuit regularly hosts various racing series.
