The Misano World Circuit is situated on Italy's northern Adriatic coastline, and focuses specifically on motorcycle racing. The circuit has been in private hands since its establishment in 1972. Various upgrades and renovations have ensured that the circuit complies with the highest safety standards and the demands of professional race series.

The Misano World Circuit is a true institution in motorcycle racing. The Superbike World Championship has been a regular visitor since 1991, with MotoGP staging its San Marino Grand Prix in Misano since 2007. Plans are afoot to rename the circuit in memory of the late Italian motorcycle star Marco Simoncelli, who was tragically killed in 2011.
