The Autodromo Riccardo Paletti is situated in Varano in the Italian province of Parma, and was named after the Italian Formula 1 driver who was killed in 1982. In 1969 a 550-metre circuit was built, which was later extended and officially opened in 1972. The current course extends to 2,4 kilometres, and is complemented by a Supermoto offroad circuit which hosts a round of the European Championship.
Numerous racing series stage rounds at Varano, including Formula 3, prototypes and GT cars, plus a variety of motorcycle classes. The course is also regularly used for testing, primarily by Dallara, the race car constructor based in Varano. Track days for race / production cars and other track events ensure a full calendar.
