The circuit named after the legendary car constructor Ettore Bugatti supplements the famous circuit used for the 24 Hour Le Mans classic. The shorter layout shares pitlane, paddock and the start/finish area with the main circuit, but heads into the infield after the pedestrian footbridge. These sectors, taken in conjunction with the long Dunlop Curve arc, lend the Circuit Bugatti its unique character.

The circuit is used mainly by automobile clubs, but also hosted the French Grand Prix, with Jack Brabham winning the only Formula 1 race here in 1967. The main focus of the circuit is motorcycle racing, which sport makes up the majority of the circuit's fixtures. MotoGP stages its French round at the Circuit Bugatti.
