United Arab Emirates

Few countries have experienced such a dramatic economic development in recent decades as the United Arab Emirates. During this process, a motorsport infrastructure that meets all the latest requirements was established on the coast of the Persian Gulf.
The Dubai Autodrome opened its gates in October 2004 and has, since 2006, hosted the 24 Hours of Dubai - now a permanent fixture on the endurance calendar. In October 2009 the Yas Marina Circuit, which was designed by Hermann Tilke, was completed in Abu Dhabi. Since then, Formula One has made the annual trip to the Arabian equivalent of Monaco.
