Phoenix International Raceway is a one-mile tri-oval situated in Avondale, Arizona. The complex was opened in 1964 and is used mainly for single-seater racing. IndyCar Series visited the Phoenix International Raceway until 2005; currently Indy Racing League teams test here regularly.

NASCAR now stages one of the highlights of the PIR calendar here, with the series visiting since Avondale twice annually since 1988. 2011 saw the circuit re-asphalted, with the turns gaining progressive cambers. The complex includes an infield circuit which has attracted GrandAm events and is also used as location for commercials production.
