Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concorde, North Carolina is recognized as the 'Home of NASCAR', with its 1.5-mile quad-oval staging the famous Coca-Cola 600 and Sprint All-Star Race amongst other events. The majority of NASCAR teams are based in and around Charlotte. The now-defunct IndyCar Series formerly staged races at this impressive oval.

The speedway was built in 1959, while the complex includes a modern quarter-mile drag strip known as zMAX Dragway, plus a gravel oval, which annually hosts the World of Outlaws Final.
