Built after the Second World War on the former site of a British RAF base, the Silverstone Circuit is a figurehead in international racing. The circuit hosted the very first Formula One World Championship race in 1950 and is still regarded as one of the highlights of the Formula One season today. With more than 40 Grands Prix to its name, Silverstone has been the venue for many remarkable races and has made many a contribution to motorsport legend.

The circuit was modified at the start of 2010, with the addition of a new hairpin and pit area. Since then, Silverstone has hosted the MotoGP British Grand Prix, as well as the iconic Formula One race, which is contracted to be held at the circuit until 2027.
