Brands Hatch is an extremely popular racetrack to the south-east of London and can look back on a long motorsport history. The first car races here were held on grass in the 1920s. From 1966 the circuit developed into a regular venue for Formula One races. One of the track's most iconic moments came the last time the "motorsport elite" visited Brands Hatch, when Nigel Mansell won his home Grand Prix in front of his adoring fans in 1986.

Brands Hatch is regarded as a very challenging racetrack. It is often compared to a rollercoaster and enjoys cult status among drivers. The circuit is still the venue for important motorsport events, such as the ChampCar series, touring car races and the British Superbike Championship.
