Blyton Park was opened May 2011, making it Britain's newest racetrack. The man behind the project is entrepreneur and motorsport enthusiast Richard Usher. He had the idea of converting the former military airfield of Blyton, in the county of Lincolnshire, into a permanent circuit eight years ago. Races have been held on the site for several decades. For example, rallies are regularly staged at Blyton Park.

The actual 1.6-mile racetrack was built during the initial phase of construction. It features a combination of slow, medium-quick and high-speed corners. Broad run-off zones are among the necessary safety measures in place. The site was expanded ahead of the 2012 season and further circuit layouts are now available. Blyton Park is also very popular with specialist automobile and motorcycle magazines, which like to put new vehicles through their paces there.
