The motorsport park near Mantorp, in southern Sweden, was opened with the support of Swedish oil companies in 1969. As well as an asphalted circuit, it also has a drag strip, which was the subject of an extensive overhaul in 2008 and is now the only strip in Europe in line with a new format of the North American NHRA.

Of the four different circuit variants, only two are in regular use these days. The main events at Mantorp Park are club races, driver safety training and races in the Swedish Formula 3 series and Swedish Touring Car Championship.
