The Kinnekulle Ring is situated in southern Sweden, in close proximity to Lidköping. Its layout - which contains no straights to speak of, only numerous corners - is particularly challenging. The circuit was constructed in 1969, and in its heyday in the early seventies played host to Formula 2 races. In the 1990s visitors to the Kinnekulle Ring included Formula 3 and the Swedish Touring Car Championship.

Currently the circuit is primarily used for amateur car, motorcycle and club racing, and also hosts rallycross events. License courses, safety training, shows and a variety of corporate events are also convened at the circuit.
