The circuit situated near Albacete was opened in 1990, and can be configured in two layouts in addition to the main circuit. The facility offers 8 000 seats, and currently hosts rounds of the long-distance motorcycle championship, plus European Truck Grand Prix events.

In the 90s the circuit was a regular host of the Superbike World Championship. Its popularity has attracted a host of regional and local motorsport institutions to the area.
