Opened in 1997, the Arena in Oschersleben consists of an asphalt circuit, an off-road track and a karting circuit, and also houses a multi-functional events centre. The Motorsport Arena also has a paddock, to which members of the public are allowed access. The hotel, which is located at the site and features a restaurant with views over the circuit, also offers a racing atmosphere at close hand.

Major motorsport events held regularly in Oschersleben include the DTM, World Touring Car Championship, and the ADAC Masters Weekend. The circuit is regarded as being extremely challenging. The surface is very smooth, but it does feature some demanding undulations.
