The Automotive Testing Papenburg complex in Niedersachsen is an independent test facility for cars and commercial vehicles. Its encompasses various test layouts and offers a fully equipped workshop manned by an engineering team which supports motor manufacturers, developers and suppliers in their test activities.

Entrance to the area is by prior arrangement only and restricted to bona fide testers only, although exceptions are made for product presentations and the facility's regular safety training courses. Interested parties may obtain comprehensive information about the facility's programs from the "Papenburger Zeitspeicher", the local visitors center whose entrance is adorned by an enormous elf figure.
