Aldenhoven Testing Center (ATC) is an automotive proving ground which allows testing of full vehicles and their subsystems. The six different tracks allow multiple driving situations for research, development and testing. Motor or component application, advanced driver assistance system testing or comfort assessment are only some of the examples that ATC can host. The tracks are versatile and allow setting up unconventional situations as well. In general they can host multiple cars at once and allow parallel testing in many cases. Of course, the individual tracks or the complete ATC can be booked on an exclusive basis as well.

A special feature is the so-called automotiveGATE that provides a simulated signal of the future European GNSS Galileo. Besides, workshops, a seminar room and office space top up the offer of ATC.

ATC is a subsidiary of Düren County and RWTH Aachen University. Thus there is a close link to state of the art research institutes and organisations that can support customers in their research and development activities. The Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika), the Institute for Combustion Engines (VKA) and the Institute of Control Engineering (IRT) of RWTH Aachen University are the main drives behind ATC and are thus familiar with the facilities.
