The WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is one of North America's most famous road racing circuits. On 9 November 1957 Pete Lovely won the first-ever race staged by the circuit situated near the Californian town of Monterey with a Ferrari. Besides hosting various US racing series, the circuit also annually stages a MotoGP round.

The Laguna Seca Raceway's layout includes arguably the most famous corner in the world: The Corkscrew, at which point the circuit drops steeply down from a hill before turning first left, then right through a chicane.
