The foundations for the Spokane Raceway, located close to Airway Heights in the state of Washington, were laid in 1974 by private investors looking to increase the amount of motorsport on offer in the region. The facility is equipped with an asphalted circuit, a quarter-of-a-mile drag strip and a racing oval.

The Spokane Raceway works closely with the National Hot Road Association, staging many drag races with these cars, which enjoy cult status in America. The circuit is also very popular among many brand-related car clubs and is a permanent venue for races organised by the largest sports car organisation in the American Northwest, the International Conference of Sports Car Clubs
