The Knockhill Racing Circuit is Scotland's only racetrack with an MSA and international FIA licence, and hosts important British racing series, including the national touring car and superbike championships. The circuit is located in Fife, and can be easily reached from Edinburgh and the ferry port in Rosyth. The Knockhill Racing Circuit was opened in 1974 on the service roads for a former mining railway.

The circuit has a challenging layout, featuring interesting combinations of corners, changes of direction and some undulations, which demand full concentration at all times from the drivers. As well as the circuit itself, the site also includes an off-road track, rally course and karting circuit.
